There is beauty and creativity all around us, if we could just see it, and embrace it. To me, creativity is what drives the world. Creativity is what makes us alive. Sometimes it is beautiful, sometimes it is scary. But even the scary has its need and importance. Everything on this website, everything in my galleries, represents a moment when creativity touched me. I hope these moments of captured creativity will in turn touch you.
I often hear the question: "What lens were you using?" People most often refer to the camera lens – and while the camera lens is important, the real lens is what we bring to it, shaped by who we are and where we're coming from – our perceptions, our unique perspective and the context of our lives. Just as no two people are exactly the same, no two perceptions can be either.
My passion is to use my camera to capture the dynamic lenses of life in all its fullness – and to be able to share this dimensionality with you. I believe that everything going on within the artist is reflected in the mix of the picture and is a reflection of the moment and themselves. When I take a picture, it is a slice of memory. I look back and remember how I felt, what I was thinking, what else was going on, what I was intending…. But I firmly believe that the emotions that you bring as the viewer are fundamentally important as well. What you perceive in my work is an expression of you as well as what I have created.
I would love to hear from you about my work. How my images affect you. What you think. What you feel. My blog is always available for comments, questions and conversation. Please join me in the playground.
My galleries change frequently, so do come visit often and feel free to share.
